The Computer Society of IEEE OUCE Student Branch conducted it’s most awaited Orientation Session on Code Garage at 5:00pm on 20th October 2022 at Assembly Hall, of the CIVIL Department.
The orientation session was graced with the presence of Prof. Sriram Venkatesh sir, Principal UCEOU, Prof. P Chandra Sekhar sir, Vice-Principal UCEOU, Prof. G Mallesham sir, IEEE student coordinator UCEOU, and Prof. J Upendra sir, Training and Placement coordinator UCEOU. With the arrival of our guests and the audience the orientation session began in no time.
At the beginning of the orientation session, all the guests of the event were invited on to the stage and were then made to address the audience. The guests spoke about the changing trends in the industry and how important coding skills are to have a good chance at hitting a job. They appreciated the initiative of the code garage and advised the students how useful being a part of this event will be.
Shortly after the guests’ addressing, the Vice Chairperson of the Computer Society,IEEE OUCE SB, Ms. Hari Chandana gave a brief information about how the code garage schedule is planned and how the curriculum will be covered in a specified time. Later, the mentors of the code garage were invited to the stage. Few of the mentors shared their previous experience and how they faced hardships during their coding journey. They explained how they will be guiding us at each step to enhance our skills.
The orientation then ended with the vote of thanks from the hosts, Nagakshitha and Ananya, Organizers of the Computer Society,IEEE OUCE SB. The session saw a great response from the students as the students began registering as soon as the registration forms were rolled out.
