IEEE OUCE SB, Computer Society conducted the first session of Code Garage 2022-2023 from 5 pm to 6pm on 14th November 2022 in the CSE Department.
The session was held in three different rooms at the same time for java, cpp, and python languages. It was the first interactive session with the mentors of code garage, and it primarily focused on programming language fundamentals.
Mr.Dinesh, Ms.Pallavi, and Mr.Aryan, code garage mentors, led the Cpp lecture, which introduced the concepts of stacks, queues, vectors, and unordered map. Java lecture focused on fundamental concepts such as variables, keywords, data types, decision making statements, and operators which was led by Mr.Baira Praveen and Ms.Susmitha. Python was directed by Mr.Lohith, Mr.Ch.Bharath and Ms.Keerthana which mainly focused on the basics like syntax, looping statements etc.
The mentors were extremely supportive. It was a participatory session where everyone had the opportunity to clarify any questions they had about the resources from weeks 1 and 2. Around 6 p.m., the session concluded with a few instructions for Week 3.
