Bio of the Speaker:
Mr. Guru Charan Das Mudigonda pursued Biomedical Engineering from the University College of Engineering, Osmania University. He completed his master’s in BME at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He is currently working as a project engineer at Stockert GmbH- a medical technology manufacturer in Germany. Mr. Guru’s competencies include medical device labeling, data analysis and visualization in R and Python, digitalization of workflow, project planning and management, design control planning, documentation, and management. A major takeaway from his journey is that tomorrow belongs to those who prepare and plan for it today.
A workshop on master’s in Germany was conducted on 4 th December 2022 by the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), IEEE OUCE Student Branch. Mr. Guru Charan Das pursued Biomedical Engineering from the University College of Engineering, OU. He completed a Master’s in BME at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He started by letting everyone know that CS, IT, Mechanical and biomedical engineering students have much better scope in Germany than in any other engineering department. Technical and personality requirements to pursue a master’s in Germany were also discussed in which he shed a light on how the exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE were required to be cleared for getting accepted to German universities. He enlightened the crowd about various aspects like semesters, social and personal life, subjects, fees, job opportunities, and cost of living. The importance of learning the German language was also discussed. A Q&A session helped students to satiate their queries and questions regarding the topic wherein the speaker with his exemplary knowledge rightly kindled the thirst. Toward the end, a virtual memento was presented to Mr. Guru Charan das as a vote of thanks.
