The Orientation session for Code Garage was conducted by the Computer Society of IEEE SB OUCE on 3rd of November, 2023, in the presence of honourable Vice Principal of University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Prof. P Chandrashekar, Faculty advisor of IEEE, Prof. G. Mallesham and the Training & Placement Officer, Dr J. Upendar.
The session was aimed to introduce the current 2nd and 3rd year students to the know-how of Code Garage.The session was held in the ECE auditorium from 4:30- 6:30 pm.
The session started with the addresses from the dignitaries who highlighted the importance of such an event and shed some light on the need for having a healthy senior- junior relationship. The session followed by a short talk from the IEEE chair, Mr. Abhinav and CS Chair, Mr. Suraj Kumar.
The session next witnessed the details and the actual learning path of the Code Garage event shared by the Code Garage lead, Ms. Nagakshita. Followed by this, was a section where the current mentors, namely, Ms. Ananya, Ms.Aarthi, Mr.Likith, and Mr. Charan shared their experiences related to this event with their juniors and also promised to guide them in their journey ahead.
The session concluded with a small QnA handled by the mentors who were accompanied by their previous mentors and a vote of thanks from the Chair of Computer Society, Mr. Suraj Kumar.
