The “Power Pulse” event, organized by Power and Energy Society IEEE SB OUCE, on November 8, 2023, at 4 PM in the E-classroom of the EEE department. This carefully chosen date and location in the heart of the EEE department set the stage for an engaging competition, allowing second-year students to demonstrate their prowess and enthusiasm for electrical engineering.
The event provided an engaging platform for second-year EEE students, aiming to assess and enhance their knowledge in core subjects such as electrical circuits, digital electronics, logic designing, aptitude, C language, labelling, and symbols.
In the first round, “Guess Watt,” teams faced a timed written test with 25 multiple-choice questions covering a range of topics. The top 6 teams progressed based on their scores.
The second round, “Power Play,” introduced a practical aspect where teams built circuits on a breadboard using provided components like transistors, buttons, LEDs, and more. The top 3 teams from this round advanced to the final stage.
The final round, “Charge Up,” featured a rapid-fire challenge. Teams created spontaneous questions and answered rapid-fire questions, adding an exciting and dynamic element to the event.
The event concluded with the announcement of winners, recognizing outstanding performance and understanding of electrical engineering concepts. “Power Pulse” successfully combined theoretical knowledge with practical application, fostering teamwork and quick problem-solving skills among the participating students. The specific timing and venue choice contributed to the overall success and familiarity of the event.
