   The CRY organization, renowned for its dedication to child rights and education, recently partnered with IEEE SB OUCE and Oasis to host a significant event titled “Walk to EmpowHER.” This initiative was designed to empower and support girls in their journey to complete higher secondary education, recognizing the critical role education plays in fostering independence and opportunities for young women.

The event boasted an impressive lineup of guests, with the chief guest being Smt. A. Nirmala Kanthi Wesley, who serves as the Director of Women’s Development and Child Welfare for the Government of Telangana. Her presence underscored the government’s commitment to improving women’s rights and access to education.

Among the distinguished attendees were several influential figures from the entertainment industry. Manasa Varanasi, known for her multi-faceted career as an actress and model, and recognized as Femina Miss India 2020, graced the event with her inspirational story and commitment to women’s empowerment. Actress Divya Sripada also participated, adding to the event’s glamour and appeal.

Additionally, Srividya, who contributes to the arts as an actress, writer, and journalist, brought her insights and experiences to the table, enriching the discussions around education and empowerment. Archana Suresh, the Director of the Telangana Social Impact Group, further highlighted the importance of social initiatives in uplifting marginalized communities, particularly girls who aspire to continue their education.

Several girls who have benefited from the CRY organization were also present at the event. They took the opportunity to share their personal experiences with all the participants, highlighting the positive impact that educational support has had on their lives.

These young women spoke about the challenges they faced in pursuing their education and how the assistance from CRY helped them overcome various obstacles. They shared inspiring

stories of perseverance and determination, illustrating how education has opened up new avenues for them and empowered them to pursue their dreams.

Their testimonies resonated deeply with the audience, serving as powerful reminders of the importance of supporting girls’ education and uplifting young voices in the community. By sharing their journeys, these girls not only showcased their achievements but also encouraged others to believe in the transformative power of education. Their presence added a personal touch to the event, emphasizing the direct impact of CRY’s initiatives on individual lives.
