Introduction: The Instrument Society of India (ISOI) Hyderabad Chapter celebrated its 50th
Foundation Day and Golden Jubilee on February 13, 2025. The event was a momentous
occasion, bringing together distinguished guests, scientists, academicians, and professionals
from various fields of instrumentation and technology. The celebration was marked by insightful
discussions, technical presentations, and a tribute to the founding members who have
significantly contributed to the growth of ISOI over the years.
Event Details: The event took place on February 13, 2025, at E Classroom 107, Main Block,
Osmania University College of Engineering, Hyderabad. It commenced with high tea at 2:30
PM, followed by a panel discussion at 3:00 PM, leading up to the Golden Jubilee Celebration at
4:00 PM. The event concluded with a closing remark and vote of thanks at 6:00 PM. The
programme was meticulously organized by the Instrument Society of India (ISOI), Hyderabad
Chapter.
Panel Discussion: A panel discussion was conducted as part of the celebrations, coordinated
by Dr. E.V.R. Rao. The panelists included renowned experts in the field:
● Dr. B.L. Deekshatulu, a distinguished scientist and former director of NRSA, shared his
vast knowledge and experience in instrumentation and scientific research.
● Sri. Kuppa Gopala Krishna, Chair of the IEEE Work Group and a professional in
Industrial Automation, provided insights into the latest advancements and applications in
automation.
● Dr. Hari Prasad Devara Palli, former Senior Scientist at TCS, spoke about emerging
trends in technology and its implications in instrumentation.
● Prof. K. Subbarangaiah, Director and Head of VEDAIIT, shared his expertise in
research and academic contributions to the field.
● Dr. K.V. Mahadevan, Additional General Manager (Retd.), BHEL R&D, discussed his
experiences and contributions to the research and development sector.
Golden Jubilee Celebration Highlights: The Golden Jubilee Celebration officially commenced
at 4:00 PM with a solemn Prayer & Lighting of the Lamp ceremony, symbolizing knowledge
and enlightenment.
The event proceeded with a warm Welcome and Opening Remarks by Dr. Srinivasa Rao,
Secretary of ISOI, who emphasized the importance of this milestone in the organization’s
history. This was followed by an Address by Dr. Sarveshwar Rao, Vice Chairman, who
acknowledged the contributions of various members in fostering the growth of ISOI.
A Video Presentation of ISOI Hyderabad Chapter, curated by Sri D.J. Rao, provided a
retrospective look at the chapter’s journey, its achievements, and future aspirations.
Dr. J. Nayak, the Chief Guest, delivered an address, followed by a technical presentation where
he highlighted the advancements in instrumentation and their impact on various industries. The
Keynote Address by Dr. Aneesh Kumar Sharma further delved into innovations and research
trends in the field.
A Technical Presentation by Sri Anvesh Manne, Director of Technology & Development at
M/S Polmon Instruments Ltd., provided valuable insights into the latest technological
developments in instrumentation.
One of the major highlights of the event was the Presentation of the D.V.S. Raju Gold Medal,
which was awarded by the Chief Guest in recognition of outstanding contributions in the field.
Following this, the Felicitation of Founding Members of ISOI, Hyderabad Chapter took
place, honoring their efforts in shaping the organization.
The event concluded with a Memento Presentation to Dignitaries as a token of appreciation
for their presence and contributions. Finally, Dr. Ramakrishna Reddy, Treasurer of ISOI,
delivered the Closing Remarks & Vote of Thanks, acknowledging everyone who played a role
in making the event a success.

shared his expertise on modern technological advancements.
● Dr. B.L. Deekshatulu, Guest of Honour, a renowned scientist and former director of

● Sri M. Somasekhar, Guest of Honour, former Chief of Bureau at The Hindu Business
