The Women in Engineering Society of IEEE OUCE Student Branch in collaboration with YOUVA conducted a session on ‘’ABC’s of Breast Cancer” at 3:00 pm on 28th October 2022, at Assembly hall, UCEOU.
Dr.Raghuram, who is a Padma sree awardee was the speaker of the session.The guests of honour of the event were Prof Laxmi Narayana, Prof Mallesham and Principal Prof.Sriram Venkatesh.Prof Manjula faculty coordinator of Women in Engineering society chapter also addressed the gathering.The assembly hall was filled with listeners who were enthusiastic to get aware of breast cancer. Dr.Raghuram mentioned the symptoms and risk factors of breast cancer and created awareness among the listeners.
The listeners also raised their queries which were cleared by Dr.Raghuram.
Then, Ms.Neha , the Chair of Women in Engineering Society, IEEE OUCE SB, took the stage and conveyed her vote of thanks and then Dr.Raghuram was felisitated by the guests of honour.
The session was wrapped up at 5:00pm. We intend to improve in certain areas and come up with more sessions in the future.
