The POWER AND ENERGY SOCIETY of IEEE OUCE Student Branch conducted 2nd round (GROUP DISCUSSION) of it’s inaugural event ACE THE TETRAD at EEE department’s e-classroom.
Firstly, all the participants were gathered at the venue shortly after Round 1 (Aptitude Test) was completed. The students were briefed about the rules and regulations of the round by the organizers.
Then the participants were divided into twelve groups consisting of 10 members each(separate for 2nd and 3rd years). First 3 groups had their group discussion simultaneously. Each panel consisted of 2 judges.
The topics were decided on the spot by the judges before the participants randomly from the available topics. The discussion time for each panel was 25 minutes. Each participant was given time to express their opinion regarding the given topic.At the end of each group discussion judges rated the participant’s performance. Marks and remarks were noted down.
Each student had their chance to learn something from their group discussion experience and develop their skills.
The event ended with a vote of thanks fom the organizers of The POWER AND ENERGY SOCIETY,IEEE OUCE SB. The event was a huge success since it had a great turnout by participants who benefitted from the event.
