Report on 2-day Python worshop

The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, in collaboration with the Computer Society, successfully
conducted a 2-day Python Workshop on 24th and 25th September 2024. The workshop aimed to
introduce beginners to Python programming, covering basic to intermediate concepts, and providing a
foundation for exploring advanced fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Data
Science.
The comprehensive agenda included topics such as Introduction to Python, Basic Python Syntax, Control
Flow, String Handling, Arrays, Functions, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Modules & Packages,
Regular Expressions (Regex), and Exception Handling. The workshop’s hands-on practice and interactive
learning environment received praise from participants.
A total of 100 attendees, benefited from the workshop. Feedback highlighted the workshop’s
excellence, informativeness, and engagement, with 95% rating it as “Excellent” or “Good”. Participants
appreciated the expert guidance, seamless logistics, and opportunities for networking.
The workshop’s success demonstrates the society’s commitment to fostering technological skills and
innovation. We extend gratitude to mentors of the workshop, for expertly guiding participants, and
organizers, for seamless logistics and coordination. Plans are underway for future workshops and
events.
