SAWiT – South Asian Women in Technology, in collaboration with WIE IEEE OUCE SB, successfully held the Introductory Session for the Women’s Gen AI Hackathon. The event began at 1:30 PM in the CSE Seminar Hall, with 25 teams from OUCE and other colleges in Hyderabad.
The event began with the Chairperson of WIE greeting the participants and providing some information about the event. The organisers guided the participants through the registration process. Each step was carefully considered, and the participants received the benefits of Guvi’s Code-Lab Sessions. After completing the registration procedure, all participants viewed a 53-minute YouTube video that provided information about the Hackathon and Ideation process that SAWiT will be conducting over the next four days. This event was available to all engineering students, regardless of their branch. The instruction and instructive video from SAWiT made Hackathon accessible to students from all branches. After watching the video, directions for downloading datasets and more information about the competition were provided. The event ended with an active communication over refreshments.
The program was a success, with about 60 female students participating. The response and feedback we received was exceptional. Participants will continue to receive further assistance from the WIE team for the duration of the Hackathon.
