CodeFest 2025 took place on February 15, 2025, bringing together enthusiastic 2nd and 3rd-year students for an exciting coding challenge. The event aimed to foster problem-solving skills, teamwork, and innovation among participants.
Event Overview:
The competition featured five participating teams, each tackling one of the following problem statements:
- BlogIt – Develop a simple blogging platform where users can create, edit, delete, and view blog posts.
- QuickQuiz – Develop a web application that allows users to create and take quizzes instantly.
- Talk2PDF – Create an AI-powered web tool that can summarize PDFs and answer user queries.
- Sentiment Analyzer – Develop a tool that evaluates user-generated text, such as product reviews or social media posts, to classify sentiment as positive, negative, or neutral.
Judging and Evaluation:
Teams were judged on innovation, functionality, technical implementation, and user experience. Based on their outstanding implementations, one team was declared the winner and another as the runner-up. The winners and runners-up were awarded a cash prize.
Conclusion:
The event was a success, running smoothly with active participation from all teams. CodeFest 2025 provided an excellent platform for students to collaborate, enhance their coding skills, and compete in a friendly yet challenging environment. The IEEE OUCE team expressed gratitude to all participants, judges, and organizers for making this event a remarkable experience.
