Introduction
The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Society successfully conducted a meaningful and
interactive Scenario Symposium Session on 8th September 2025. Centered around the
theme “Ideate. Discuss. Present.”, the session aimed to  encourage the leadership abilities
to influence, guide, and inspire individuals or groups towards achieving a common goal. In
today’s dynamic environment—whether in business, education, or society—leadership skills
play a crucial role in ensuring success, motivation, and teamwork.
The event began with warm welcome statements, where the organizers greeted all
participants and introduced the purpose of the Scenario Symposium. The students were
encouraged to step into a collaborative and problem-solving mindset, setting the stage for
active participation. The welcoming remarks emphasized teamwork, logical thinking, and
creativity, ensuring that everyone felt prepared and motivated to engage in the upcoming
crisis challenges.

“Crisis Room Scenario”- Spark Session

To keep the session engaging and educational, a quick and fun – “CRISIS ROOM
SCENARIO” was conducted. The session tested participants’ knowledge on:

● Managing conflicts and disagreements.
● Handling pressure during crises.
● Balancing empathy with authority.
● Managing time and resources effectively.
It sparked curiosity and encouraged students to think more deeply about how they view and
handle the situations, while also creating a lively and positive atmosphere.

Feedback and Participation
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across different departments. The
Crisis Room scenarios encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking under
simulated pressure. Students actively engaged in discussions, analyzed challenges, and
presented creative solutions. The combination of real-life inspired situations, group
collaboration, and shared reflections made it a highly impactful experience. Many
participants expressed that the activity helped them build confidence, enhance decision-
making skills, and feel more prepared to handle real-world challenges and reinforce the
concepts.

Conclusion
The Scenario Symposium session by IEEE WIE was not merely an exercise; but a platform
that fostered teamwork, quick decision-making, and creative problem-solving. Through
realistic challenges, collaborative discussions, and reflective sharing, participants gained
valuable skills that extend beyond the classroom. The event left students with greater
confidence, stronger critical thinking abilities, and a sense of unity in approaching complex
situations.
Let us continue to collaborate. To challenge ourselves. And to grow — together.
