Gap Waveguide for MMA Application in Passive Devices and Antenna

Description of event: The event commenced with the inaugural session, during which we had the honor of formally welcoming Prof. Ahmed Kishk Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Fellow of IEEE, Electromagnetic Academy, ACES, AP-S URSI.

Prof. Ahmed Kishk involved into the advancements and applications of gap waveguide technology, encompassing various types such as ridge gap waveguides, groove gap waveguides, and microstrip-ridge gap waveguides. Detailed analyses cover the versions of gap and groove waveguides, evaluate losses across different prototypes such as VER, and inverted microstrip gap waveguides. Further, the study examines the electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) eigenmodes of unit cells, with and without the ridge, providing insights through cell analysis and dispersion diagrams.

The felicitation ceremony was a moment of honor and recognition as Prof.P.Chandrasekhar prinicipal, UCE(A), Osmania University, Prof.D.Ramakrishna faculty Advisor MTT-S and HOD of ECE dept and Dr.A.Bharathi Faculty Advisor AP-S and Associate Professor of ECE dept had the privilege of felicitating Prof. Ahmed Kishk for his invaluable contributions to the field. Finally the event concluded with vote of thanks and group photo with all the participates.
