Robotics Club Session-7 “Modules”

Robotics Club Session-7 “Modules”

This was the seventh session of the Robotics Club held on 5th October 2019. It was hosted by the members of IEEE OUCE Student Branch and the speakers were K. Pavan Venkat, B. Rakshith and Najeebuddin Mohammed.

The session aimed at explaining in detail 8 commonly used modules: GSM, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, relay, joystick, RFID, RF receiver and transmitter. These modules are all that are required for nearly all Arduino based projects.

Pavan taught about the Bluetooth module and relay module. Najeebuddin taught about the Wi-fi module and the joystick module. Rakshith taught about the GSM, GPS, RF receiver & transmitter and RFID tag module. For every module, the construction, working, programming and applications were explained in detail.  The attendees were allowed to ask any questions or clarify their doubts after every module explanation.

The session then concentrated on what the plan for the next year was related to the phase 2 of the OUCE Robotics Club. The attendees were also asked for their suggestions and advice related to what could be corrected for the next year.

The session ended with the prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the RC Project Competition held in the month of June and July. All 3 top teams were given merit certificates and the first placed team were given Smart watches (one each for every member). Our Counsellor, Prof. G. Mallesham concluded the session congratulating the winners and applauding all the participants for their efforts.
