ANVESHANA [LEARN-BUILD-CREATE], A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP

The 2-day workshop “ANVESHANA – Learn, Build, Create,” organized by IEEE SPS SB OUCE in collaboration with TEXOHAM – Centre for Advanced Computing, provided participants with practical knowledge of Arduino, ESP32, and IoT technologies through interactive sessions and hands-on activities.

Day 1 began with an inaugural session introducing the objectives of the workshop and the basics of Arduino. Participants learned about Arduino architecture, components, digital and analog pins, hardware interfacing, and programming using the Arduino IDE. The sessions focused on understanding embedded systems and developing simple applications through coding and circuit connections.

In the practical session, participants worked on beginner-level projects such as LED blinking and traffic light systems, touch sensor-controlled LED and buzzer alerts, smart parking assistants, and mini weather stations. Students were encouraged to experiment with their own ideas using available hardware components, while mentors provided continuous guidance and support throughout the activities.

Day 2 focused on the ESP32 microcontroller and its advanced Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities for IoT applications. Participants learned about ESP32 architecture, configuring it in the Arduino IDE, internet connectivity, and remote device control. Hands-on projects included a Wi-Fi scanner, LED control through a web server, and Bluetooth communication between ESP32 and smartphones.

The workshop concluded with an Innovation Challenge, quizzes, and technical activities that encouraged creativity and teamwork. The event ended with a certificate distribution ceremony, providing students valuable exposure to microcontrollers, embedded systems, and IoT technologies.
